भारत में हाल ही में तीन नए कानून पारित हुए हैं:

 भारतीय न्याय संहिता, 2023: यह भारतीय दंड संहिता (IPC) की जगह लेती है और अपराधों को परिभाषित करती है, साथ ही उनके लिए सजा भी निर्धारित करती है।

  भारतीय नागरिक सुरक्षा संहिता, 2023: यह दंड प्रक्रिया संहिता (CrPC) की जगह लेती है और अपराधों की जांच, गिरफ्तारी, मुकदमा चलाने और सजा देने की प्रक्रिया को निर्धारित करती है।

 भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम, 2023: यह भारतीय साक्ष्य अधिनियम की जगह लेता है और अदालत में सबूतों के स्वीकार्यता और प्रासंगिकता को निर्धारित करता है।

ये तीनों कानून 1 जुलाई, 2024 से प्रभावी हुए हैं।
